Sarah Smith

Sarah graduated in 1989 with a degree in Law and followed the traditional path of Law Society Finals and then qualifying as a solicitor at a City Law firm. She was appointed a District Judge in 2004 (then the youngest appointee) and sits in the full range of jurisdictions-sometimes on the same day!

She is keen to stress the importance of living the life you one want as opposed to the one you think you should and wants to encourage Newnhamites to hone their considerable transferable skills so that they can feel confident to try multiple paths through life. She is happy to chat through routes into and within the legal profession.
