Charmaine Campbell-Coutinho

I studied Geography at Newnham and am currently the Head of Client Training, Delta-EE working within the energy sector, specifically looking at a fair, just transition of the industry to a more environmentally conscious future. I knew when I graduated that I wanted to do something positive for the planet and people, when it wasn’t as common for companies to be as environmentally aware.

I’ve been motivated to become an Associate for a number of years, but maternity leave, young children, career, and life have got in the way until now … and this is one of the key things I want to bring to the role: to demonstrate that the realities of careers are long term, confusing and quite often not what you plan.

I’d like to support others who might be in the same position, or not know what they might like to do next, whether still studying or later in their careers. I’ve done a number of mentoring schemes within my industry, the energy sector. I’m based in Cambridge and happy to talk to any alumnae who are interested in careers in sustainability, helping them understand options or just generally for a chat.
