I have spent 25 years in the travel industry, 4 in international retail and 10 in international Higher Education. I started post-Newnham life as a Graduate Trainee at The Thomas Cook Group & went on to hold various commercial general management roles before changing focus mid-career to specialise in HR. I have been a Chief People Office for more than 20 years in both large and small global businesses, from family-owned to PE to publicly listed conglomerates and maturing start-ups, leading teams and driving people strategy, culture and change across the world. I am a qualified executive coach and have served as a charity trustee and on the Boards of Joint Ventures with UK & US universities as well as in various school governance roles.
I can offer Newnhamites advice on managing a career in the commercial sector and general career coaching. I am very happy to talk to anyone who thinks I can be of some help to them. As a Newnhamite from a ‘first-generation to go to University family’, however, I believe I have a particular sweet spot for helping those who may not have professional/career role models in their own families.
