Zeeya Merali
After NatSci, specialising in theoretical physics at Cambridge, I moved to the US to pursue a doctorate in theoretical cosmology. Upon completing the PhD, I moved back to the UK, to study science journalism. I am now a freelance journalist, author and documentary producer. As a journalist, my work has appeared in Scientific American, Nature, New Scientist, Discover, Popular Science and on the BBC. I have published a popular physics book, "A Big Bang in a Little Room: The Quest to Create New Universes" and two textbooks. As a documentary producer, I have worked on projects for The History Channel, UK and NOVA/PBS.
I am happy to chat, by Zoom, Skype, or phone, about jobs in the media, PhDs in science, and studying in the US.
