Sam Mardell
I am happy to talk to any students interested in international development or working overseas. I have spent my career working international development and global health. I currently work as Strategic Partnership Manager with UCL, where I manage UCL’s relationship with a South African health research institute. Just before that I was Manager of the London International Development Centre and have previously worked for 5 years with the US company DevEx in Latin America (Costa Rica and Mexico), and for 7 years with the University of Barcelona / ISGlobal in managing public health projects in low and middle income countries (mainly in sub-Saharan Africa).
I am also Vice-Chair of Marr-Munning Trust, a small educationally-focused charity working in Africa, Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent.
