Jen Ablitt
I have over 10 years' experience in the rail industry, primarily in the areas of safety strategy, policy and organisational culture and management systems. I am currently Deputy Director at the Office of Rail and Road and Head of the UK Delegation to the Channel Tunnel Safety Authority. I spent 6 years in France at the European Union Agency for Railways.
Prior to that, I followed my law degree and qualified as a commercial property solicitor at Slaughter and May in London.
I am very proud to have rowed for NCBC throughout my degree, except for 2 terms rowing for Blondie!
My current role involves managing a large team, recruitment, training and development, risk-based safety strategy and planning, human factors and occupational health and overseeing policy development for all aspects of rail safety regulation.
I can help with planning career changes, professional mentoring, public speaking and anything else you would like to chat about!
