Jane Dancer

I studied Natural Science (biological) for my first degree at Newnham and then stayed at the college to do a PhD in Plant Sciences. I remained in academia for a further two years as a Post Doc at the University of Bayreuth in Germany before moving into industry. Since then, I have worked in agrochemical, pharma and biotech companies from large multinationals to small start-ups. Initially I was in research but most of my career has been on the business side where I have been involved in deal making, strategy, intellectual property, finance, operations and communications.  I have a business qualification having returned to Newnham to study for an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) part way through my career.

I am keen to support Newnham students as they think about and embark on their own careers and am fortunate to have been involved in careers initiatives at the college for many years now.
